Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader in New Jersey. The role focuses on preparing great food, grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, ordering food, and training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You’ll ensure quality, safety, and a clean, well-stocked kitchen while promoting teamwork and delivering a great customer experience. Responsibilities include maintaining food quality, controlling waste, coaching Crew, and upholding safety standards; the position offers growth

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; repairing malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensuring the kitchen and all Crew members meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
