Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in East Lansing, MI is seeking a Kitchen Leader to train crews, prepare great food, and uphold food safety and quality on a fast-paced line. You’ll oversee line setup, assist in ordering, and mentor Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll promote teamwork, ensure clean and well-stocked kitchens, and help deliver a outstanding guest experience while maintaining Chipotle’s standards and Food With Integrity philosophy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience is preferred.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures while cooking and prepping food to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized; maintain equipment in good condition.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation as required.
