Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn food preparation, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will help ensure the quality and safety of our delicious food, maintain a clean and well-stocked kitchen, and coach Crew members to meet the restaurant’s goals.

On the job, you’ll promote teamwork, deliver a great customer experience, and keep equipment in good repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
