Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and execute high‑quality food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You'll supervise food flow, train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, and ensure a safe, clean, and well‑stocked kitchen that delivers delicious meals and great guest experiences.

As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll model teamwork, uphold Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy, and help your team meet daily goals while maintaining equipment and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctions quickly.
• Ensure kitchen and Crew meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventories.
