Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in the United States is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders, while ensuring food quality and safety in a clean, well stocked kitchen.

As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll model teamwork, support Crew, and drive customer satisfaction through efficient service. The role involves hands-on cooking, coaching, and maintaining equipment; Chipotle offers

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
