Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to train staff, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, ensuring food is delicious and prepared to order. You will also manage ordering and mentor Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The role emphasizes food quality, safety, teamwork, and delivering a great customer experience in a fast-paced environment. On-the-clock responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and serving as a role model for Crew members.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain equipment and ensure repairs when needed.
• Ensure kitchen and Crew comply with safety guidelines.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation as required.
