Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. The role emphasizes teamwork and delivering a standout customer experience in a fast-paced kitchen.

The Kitchen Leader ensures quality and safety of meals, keeps the kitchen organized and stocked, and maintains equipment while modeling leadership for Crew members.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy (required).
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory, resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers for great service and throughput.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well stocked; maintain equipment.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
