Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food prep, grilling, and vegetable sautéing to deliver delicious, safe, and high-quality meals. You will order supplies and train teammates to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a smooth kitchen operation, and a strong customer experience. As a Kitchen Leader, you will keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensure equipment is maintained, and model leadership for Crew members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolving food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain equipment and have it repaired promptly when needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation.
