Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and oversee food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order supplies and mentor Crew to grow into future Kitchen Leaders, ensuring food quality, safety, and a great customer experience.

As a Kitchen Leader, you will keep the station organized, mentor teammates, and drive throughput while maintaining high standards for cleanliness and safety across the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Following Chipotle’s policies and procedures while performing duties.
• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order.
• Monitor inventory levels and food waste; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crews.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well stocked.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
• Promote safety to prevent injuries and accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO inventories.
