Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering a great customer experience in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will manage food quality, inventory, and equipment, and mentor Crew members to grow into leadership roles, ensuring high standards and smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand-and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crews.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, properly sanitized, and well stocked.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
