Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader in West Columbia, SC. You will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. The role focuses on quality, safety, teamwork, and delivering a great customer experience.

You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen, monitor inventory, and ensure equipment is functional. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively in order to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
