Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order food and train Crew Members to become future Kitchen Leaders, while ensuring quality, safety, and a great customer experience.

You will promote teamwork, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, supervise equipment, and help Crew members progress into leadership roles. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and fast-paced service.

Qualifications

• Must have restaurant experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; arranging quick repairs when needed.
• Ensuring the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
