Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to master food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order food and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader ensures quality and safety of Chipotle’s food, keeps the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked, and maintains equipment in good condition. Throughout the role you’ll promote teamwork and support both back-of-house and front-of-house Crew to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; repairing malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensuring the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
