Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and execute meal preparation, train Crew members, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked kitchen. You will model teamwork and drive a great customer experience while supporting both back- and front-of-house crews.

The role focuses on cooking to order, inventory control, equipment upkeep, and mentoring future Kitchen Leaders in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Crew members and customers.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and repaired quickly if needed.
• Ensuring the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and FIFO documents.
