Job summary

Maplefields & R.L. Vallee in Peru, NY is seeking a full-time kitchen supervisor to lead daily food prep, maintain grab-and-go offerings, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work with store staff and management to hire, train, and supervise kitchen personnel, manage inventory, place orders to prevent shortages, and reduce waste while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience and food safety certificate or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to work well individually as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders and ensure grab-and-go items are stocked.
• Keep a clean and sanitary work environment, including equipment and surfaces.
• Receive, rotate, and store incoming orders.
• Communicate positively with kitchen and store staff; ask for help when needed.
• Lead kitchen during busy times and train staff with Store Manager.
• Maintain inventory levels and place orders to prevent shortages.
• Record waste and work to reduce waste.
• Ensure proper dating and temperature checks are documented.
• Complete shift tasks assigned by Store Manager.
