Job summary

Maplefields & RL Vallee is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure excellent customer service. You will manage food prep for hot plate and cold well items, maintain inventory, and lead staff during peak periods while upholding food safety standards.

You will collaborate with store management to hire and train kitchen staff, monitor waste, and coordinate orders and sanitation. Availability shifts vary by location to cover business needs.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience and food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Shifts vary by location; leadership requires coordinating coverage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders per procedures and keep hot plate and cold well stocked with fresh grab-and-go items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment and surfaces.
• Receive, rotate and store all incoming orders.
• Communicate positively with kitchen and store staff and seek help when needed.
• Work with Store Manager to hire, manage, and train kitchen staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and place orders to prevent shortages.
• Record waste and implement measures to reduce waste.
• Ensure product dating is accurate and temperature checks are documented.
• Lead the kitchen during busy times and direct staff as needed.
• Create a positive, respectful work environment with teamwork and cooperation.
