Job summary

Marmic Fire and Safety is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers in commercial and residential kitchens. You will work on-site to ensure all systems are compliant and operational, requiring strong customer service and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems and applicable codes preferred.
• Willingness to operate on-site in both commercial and residential kitchens.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers per manufacturer specs and NFPA codes.
• Inspect and service restaurant fire suppression systems and extinguishers per NFPA 10, NFPA 17-17A, UL 300.
• Diagnose on-site issues and perform repairs to ensure systems are operational.
• Prepare inspection reports and obtain customer signatures, maintaining daily records.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service visits and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Follow NFPA codes and safety regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with codes and best practices.
