Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers for commercial and residential kitchens.

You will work on-site, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires technical aptitude, strong safety focus, and ability to operate in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems helps but not required for entry-level candidates.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Willingness to learn fire codes, NFPA standards, and brand systems.

Responsibilities

• Install kitchen fire suppression systems and extinguishers per specs and codes.
• Inspect and maintain kitchen fire suppression systems per NFPA 17-17A and UL 300.
• Diagnose and perform on-site troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Prepare inspection reports and document maintenance activities daily.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and recommend maintenance.
