Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Kitchen Systems/Fire Extinguisher Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair kitchen suppression systems and extinguishers for commercial and residential kitchens.

You will perform on-site work, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and operational. Ideal candidates have strong technical and customer service skills, a high school diploma, the ability to lift heavy loads, and a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving fire safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
• Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic repair tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.

Responsibilities

• Install new kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers according to manufacturer specifications, local safety regulations, and NFPA codes.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen fire suppression systems per NFPA 17-17A and UL 300.
• Diagnose and perform on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
