Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in PA (Pocono Manor) is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Technician to ensure all kitchen appliances and related equipment operate safely and efficiently to support food and beverage operations.

You will lead with our Promise to Lead with Love, collaborate with culinary and maintenance teams, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, steamers, and mixers, and ensure compliance with health and safety codes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and kitchen gas appliances.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems (a plus).
• 3+ years of experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment. Identify potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in commercial kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, steamers, and mixers. Replace worn or defective parts
• Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure kitchen operations continue smoothly.
• Assist in the installation and proper setup of new kitchen appliances and equipment. Ensure all new equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Ensure all equipment meets local health and safety codes. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance audits.
