Job summary

Desert Diamond Casino West Valley is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient operation of commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration, and equipment under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

The role covers preventive maintenance, service and repair, coordination with supervisory personnel, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment within a 24/7 casino setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience repairing and servicing commercial kitchen equipment.
• Must obtain EPA 608 certification within 6 months; familiar with CMMS; valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be 18+; no felonies; pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background; must obtain gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Schedule monthly preventive maintenance inspections for all commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Perform service and mechanical repairs; replace parts for preventive maintenance; record data.
• Coordinate repairs with supervisors; install new equipment as directed.
• Maintain refrigeration units, walk-in coolers and freezers; respond promptly to repair orders.
• Respond to emergencies (fires, floods) and take appropriate actions.
• Attend mandatory training and contribute to team efforts.
