Job summary

Heartsworth Center Nursing is seeking a Kitchen Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents and staff. You will ensure food is hot, well-presented, and served with care in a fast-paced facility.

You will collaborate with the dietary team to plan and execute daily menus, maintain a clean, organized kitchen, and uphold health and safety standards. This role offers a supportive team and opportunities to grow culinary skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Food Handling Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals for residents and staff, ensuring that food is served hot and presented professionally
• Works closely with the dietary team to plan and execute daily menus
• Maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards
• Orders supplies and ingredients as needed, and manages inventory levels
• Participates in meal tray assembly and delivery
• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils
