Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and execute hot and cold meals across hospital dining options, including restaurants, room service, and markets. You will work with line and prep cooking, mise en place, and catering, ensuring quality and compliance with recipes and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in food service or equivalent experience.
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days.
• CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI NAB 90 Days.
• CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI NAB 90 Days.
• Preferred: Vocational/Technical courses in food preparation.
• Preferred: 16 weeks to 1 year baking education and cake decorating techniques.

Aufgaben

• Performs hot food preparation including frying, baking, broiling, braising and grilling.
• Assembles and prepares ingredients for cooking by cleaning and cutting.
• Follows standardized recipes, calculating ingredients based on weight and volume.
• Monitors food quality, assesses food presentation and maintains temperatures.
• Records temperatures on log sheets and replaces items not meeting standards.
• Stores food items, labeling and dating per standards; uses leftovers within safe time.
• Sets up steam tables on patient and cafeteria tray lines.
• Communicates with staff to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
