Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, assist with class execution, and deliver outstanding customer experiences in our Scottsdale store. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and participate in setting up and breaking down classes while contributing to sales goals.

The role requires 18+ years old, a Food Handlers Certification, and prior retail and food prep experience is preferred. A flexible, part-time schedule including evenings and weekends is available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Maintains expertise by staying current on products and training resources.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a guest-obsessed culture in kitchen and retail areas.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by driving high enrollment and positive reviews.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of classes, prep ingredients, and clean workstations.
• Clean and sanitize dishes and equipment to support smooth operations.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist with restocking and organizing kitchen supplies.
