Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to inspire customers through every stage of their culinary experience. The role supports chefs, engages guests, and maintains a clean, efficient kitchen environment to deliver an outstanding in-store and class experience.

Ideal candidates bring passion for cooking, hospitality, and teamwork, with at least 1 year in retail or kitchen ops; food handling certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Enhance customer experience by representing the brand and delivering memorable, educational experiences.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive enrollment and positive guest feedback.
• Support store readiness by setting up and breaking down classes, restocking, and maintaining equipment.
• Ensure food safety compliance and safe kitchen operations, following SOPs and policies.
