Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks Early Education teachers to ensure students master academic and social skills for college readiness while upholding IDEA values. You will set ambitious goals, plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, and analyze data to guide interventions and progress.

Responsibilities include implementing state standards, submitting lesson plans, tracking progress, communicating with families, and maintaining behavior management aligned with campus initiatives at a 40+ hour per week

Qualifications

• High level content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training; bilingual/ESL certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
