IDEA Public Schools is seeking an elementary/primary teacher to ensure students master academic and social skills, aligned with IDEA values. The role emphasizes planning rigorous instruction, assessing progress, and collaborating with families to drive college readiness.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, classroom experience, and TEA-aligned credentials; bilingual/ESL certifications are preferred. A comprehensive benefits package and tuition support accompany base compensation.

Qualifikationen

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience (strongly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience: Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Reading Academies certification for K-3 or willingness to obtain; bilingual certification and ESL certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families on a weekly basis.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
