IDEA Public Schools seeks dedicated teachers for IDEA College Prep to empower students toward college readiness through rigorous curricula and data-driven daily planning.

You will develop and deliver high school material, track progress, and participate in district initiatives while supporting students through tutoring and after-school activities. A Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching credential are preferred.

Qualifications

• Evidence of content-area proficiency via certification, field of study, or work-exp.
• Knowledge of core subject and ability to pass IDEA assessments.
• Familiarity with curricula and instructional practices.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to diverse school environments.

Responsabilités

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade-level curriculum and objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Use formal/informal assessments; adjust plans and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress weekly to students and families.
• Utilize technology as an educational tool to enhance achievement.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with school initiatives.
• Support school-wide culture and a positive learning environment.
• Build trust-based relationships with students and families.
• Provide tutoring sessions as needed.
• Attend weekly meetings and after-school duties as required.
• Engage in ongoing learning and development throughout the year.
• Commit to 40+ hours on-site per week.
• Additional duties may include after-school tutoring or Saturday sessions.
