Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated teacher to deliver college-preparatory instruction in a K-12 setting. You will implement state standards, align curricula to IDEA assessments, and create rigorous lesson plans that advance student achievement.

You will track progress, communicate with families weekly, and participate in after-school activities as needed. A valid teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree are required, with preference for K-12 classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• K-12 classroom experience preferred
• State certification preferred but not required
• Strong content-area proficiency demonstrated by teaching certification

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
• Deliver content and grade-level curriculum and texts
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Track student progress with assessments and adjust plans as needed
• Communicate student progress weekly with family and student
• Use technology to support learning and communication
• Maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives
• Contribute to a positive school culture and community with students and families
