Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Process Engineer to support the pilot plant in Lebanon, IN, focusing on kilo lab and high-potency (HPAPI) chemistries. You will optimize synthesis, crystallization, distillation, and isolation steps while managing containment strategies for safe HPAPI handling.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemical engineering or related discipline.
• 1–4 years of experience in pharma, biotech, or CMO environments.
• Experience supporting API manufacturing or development.

Responsibilities

• Assess scale-up feasibility for new chemistries by data analysis and modeling.
• Design, test and install equipment to meet evolving needs.
• Operate kilo-scale reactors and containment equipment with GMP in mind.
• Develop and implement containment strategies for HPAPI operations.
• Optimize crystallization, distillation, extraction, and isolation steps.
• Ensure cgMP compliance and quality documentation across procedures and reports.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with QA, HSE, and Operations to drive projects.
• Develop project plans and timetables for process improvements.
