Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, Indiana, is seeking a Process Engineer to support a pilot plant focused on kilo Lab and HPAPI operations. This role emphasizes scale-up, reactor design, crystallization, distillation, and isolation, with a strong emphasis on containment and cGMP compliance.

Initial location is Parkwood West, Indianapolis, with permanent work at the new Lilly Medicine Foundry in Lebanon. A BS/MS in chemical engineering and 1–4 years in pharma/CRO is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemical engineering with 1–4 years in pharma/CMO process engineering.
• Experience supporting API manufacturing or development in cGMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate scale-up feasibility and perform modeling to transfer gram-to kilogram-scale reactors.
• Design, test, and install equipment for evolving portfolio needs.
• Operate kilo-scale reactors, optimize heat/mass transfer, and support containment for HPAPI operations.
• Ensure cGMP compliance and document technical reports and lab notebooks.
