Job summary

Skagit Valley Family YMCA Mount Vernon is seeking a part-time Kids Zone Representative to supervise a safe, supervised play area for children aged 1 to 10 while parents are on-site. Weekend availability is required.

You will provide a quality experience aligned with our YMCA values—honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring—while collaborating with staff and engaging families in a friendly, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to relate to children with a warm, friendly personality.
• Effective multitasking and communication skills.
• Professional, courteous and friendly demeanor.
• CPR/AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Fluency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Models positive behavior and maintains strong relationships with parents and staff.
• Maintains clean, safe play areas and follows YMCA procedures.
• Attends required trainings and staff meetings.
• Communicates clearly and respectfully with families and coworkers.
