Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle seeks a Kid Zone Lead to supervise groups of children in our on-site drop-in care program. You will develop and implement engaging activities, guide Kid Zone Counselors, and partner with families to provide a safe, positive experience.

This on-site, part-time role offers morning and after-school shifts. You will help children build teamwork and social skills while upholding YMCA values and ensuring quality care across programs.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience working with children (camp, childcare, nanny, coaching).
• Ability to model YMCA values: caring, respect, responsibility, honesty.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children to ensure their health, safety and a positive experience.
• Develops and implements program activities.
• Provides guidance and direction to Kids Zone Counselors as needed.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and discipline.
• Engages with parents/guardians to share information about their child's experience.
