Job summary

Michaels in Mentor, OH is seeking an energetic Event Coordination and Customer Experience team member. Plan and coordinate children’s parties and craft classes, engaging guests of all ages with fun, creativity, and skilled craft instruction.

You’ll support checkouts, Rewards enrollment, and omni-channel processes while helping with stocking, planograms, and store cleanliness. Nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and customer service settings.
• Ability to plan and execute kid-friendly events and activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events such as children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients across ages 4–94+ with a focus on fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts, face painting, and activities.
• Handle add-ons, such as goody bags and balloons, to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks including emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; set up/breakdown events as needed.
• Assist with merchandise management and daily store duties as assigned.
