Job summary

Michaels in Amherst, OH is seeking a dynamic team member to coordinate in-store events and deliver exceptional customer service. You will plan children's parties, demonstrate crafts, and ensure a fun, safe environment for guests of all ages.

You’ll assist shoppers, enroll customers in rewards programs, and support store operations including stocking, checkout, and store cleanliness. Nights and weekends required.

• Excellent people skills.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills with creative problem-solving.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other crafts/events.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects; perform face painting and other activities.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship From Store) and stock/planogram duties.
• Maintain store cleanliness; support safety programs and SOPs.
