Job summary

Life Time is seeking a Kids Instructor to provide educational and fitness-oriented programming for children aged three months to 11 years within the Kids Academy. You will organize and lead safe, fun activities and may host parties and events for members.

Responsibilities include greeting members, guiding activities, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring a secure, clean environment while promoting junior programming across gym activities.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire.
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Greet, acknowledge, and interact with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities.
• Prepare and set up for class and transfer kids to and from programming.
• Maintain records of children’s attendance, development, and incidents.
• Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe environment and respect for surroundings.
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques and communicate clearly with parents and team members.
• Promote all Junior programming to increase participation in all Kids & Aquatics programming.
• Maintain the Kids Academy and other program areas by following cleaning checklists and restocking supplies.
• Handle incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
