Job summary

Life Time is seeking a Kids Instructor to deliver educational and fitness-minded programming for children from 3 months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. You will organize, instruct, and ensure safe, engaging activities, and may host events or parties for kids.

Responsibilities include greeting members, guiding class activities, maintaining attendance records, ensuring safety, and promoting all Junior programming.

Qualifications

• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work.
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire.
• 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 - 11 in similar programs or activities.
• Ability to engage a group of children in an activity.
• Customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Instructs and organizes activities to foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming.
• Maintains records of children’s attendance, development, and incidents.
• Monitors safety and maintains a healthy environment around toys, equipment, and kids.
• Uses positive behavior management techniques and communicates with parents and team members.
• Promotes Junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics programs.
• Keeps Kids Academy and other areas clean and stocked; reshelves supplies after each class.
• Handles incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
