Job summary

Direct Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Core Systems Administrator to own and optimize the KeyStone core banking platform and related systems. You’ll administer, support, and continuously improve core banking operations, working with IT, vendors, and business partners to ensure secure, reliable services for members and staff.

Reporting to the VP of IT, you will manage configuration, security, testing, and change management while driving continuous improvement and timely issue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/BS or related field and 5+ years IT/ banking ops tech environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of KeyStone: configuration, user access, workflows, reporting, integrations, and vendor coordination.
• Experience in regulated financial institutions or similarly controlled environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot integrations, automated processes, data imports/exports, and vendor-managed systems.
• Ability to develop SQL query and reporting skills for automation, troubleshooting, and BI needs.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to document procedures, coordinate testing, train end users, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator for KeyStone across production, test, training, and validation environments.
• Configure, maintain, document KeyStone and connected systems, vendors, workflows, and data exchanges.
• Translate operational needs into system configurations, testing plans, reports, and vendor requests.
• Administer user access, RBAC, and periodic reviews per regulatory/audit requirements.
• Coordinate system upgrades, releases, patches, maintenance windows, interfaces, and batch processes.
• Review vendor release notes, evaluate impact, coordinate UAT, validate results, inform stakeholders.
• Develop and execute testing plans for new functionality, integrations, and reports.
• Troubleshoot application issues, integrations, batch jobs, data imports/exports, and interface errors.
• Manage core systems helpdesk queue from intake to resolution; coordinate with vendors.
