Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time associate to greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and efficiently complete sales transactions. You will help unload deliveries, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized.

In the absence of management, you may open or close the store and support cashiers with daily operations. Preferred candidates will have high school completion and some retail experience, with strong communication and cash-handling skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform frequent walking/standing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with merchandise selection and location, and complete sales transactions.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle cash.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organize merchandise for easy shopping.
