Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Part Time associate to deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers with merchandise selection and store navigation, and efficiently process sales at the POS.

The role includes supporting the Store Manager with daily activities, maintaining inventory, helping with deliveries and replenishment, and ensuring store cleanliness and appearance. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.
• Availability: Flex schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Lifting: Regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (up to 55 lbs. occasionally).
• Cash handling: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection and location.
• Assist Store Manager with daily activities and store operations.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist with deliveries and replenishment.
• Open or close store in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve inquiries.
