Job summary

Family Dollar in High Point, NC is seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Associate to greet customers, assist with merchandise selection and complete sales transactions. You will support store operations, help unload deliveries and keep shelves stocked.

You will work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends; training is provided and you will follow store policies. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, teamwork and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Guide store team members on operating practices and procedures.
• Greet customers and assist with questions.
• Handle customer inquiries with the best interest of customer and company in mind.
• Increase average basket through suggestive selling and add-ons.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store.
• Assist in unloading merchandise and stocking shelves.
• Assist Store Manager with asset protection and daily operations.
• Open or close store and support cashiers.
• Complete Position Based Training timely.
• Follow company policies and other duties as assigned.
