Job summary

Marshalls in the TJX Companies, Inc. network seeks a Key Carrier to support store leadership, oversee operations, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will alternate roles with Coordinator, stepping in as Manager on Duty as needed, and maintain coverage and adherence to policies.

This role requires open availability including nights and weekends; you will coach associates, handle priorities, and help shrink reduction goals while maintaining a safe, inviting store environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of store procedures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to guidelines.
• Communicates with management and Associates when setting priorities; provides progress updates.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
