Job summary

Plastic Design International, Inc. in Middletown, CT is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part-time Customer Service Representative (20 hrs/wk) to manage our largest customer account.

You will monitor inventory, process purchase orders, and release product on time to keep production lines supplied. As the main day-to-day contact, you will respond promptly by phone and email, track orders, flag shortages, and coordinate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customer service, order entry, inventory control, or a related role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for our largest customer, responding to questions, requests, and issues promptly and professionally.
• Enter and process 10–20 purchase orders per day with a high level of accuracy.
• Monitor the customer's inventory levels and release product to match their production schedule.
• Track our internal inventory levels and flag potential shortages before they become problems.
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, releases, and customer communications.
