Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Youth Development Specialist to work on-site at one of its campuses. This full-time role requires relocating to a listed campus, with nationwide recruitment and relocation support. Compensation is $100,000 USD per year, paid weekly.

You will lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 students, run motivation sessions, and administer mastery assessments. You will coach students to 100% of weekly goals and foster a love of learning in a fast-paced, high-support environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students.
• Comfortable using adaptive learning software for instruction while you provide motivation and life-skills coaching.
• Proven record of high achievement in academics, athletics, or work.
• Stage presence strong enough to hold a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without raising your voice.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Run daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions pushing students to 100% of weekly goals.
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessments and re-coach until mastery.
• Adapt the workshop playbook and create new sessions for different ages.
• Be the adult who holds the standard and the one students choose to talk to.
