Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks an experienced School Counselor to promote student success through a comprehensive counseling program addressing academic and personal/social development for all students.

The counselor will provide ongoing services, participate on IEP teams, monitor interventions, and liaise with teachers, parents and community resources to support student achievement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Counseling or related field.
• Strong social/emotional or trauma-informed background preferred.
• Must have Ohio certification and competence as a school-based counselor.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exemplary, ongoing counseling program supporting academic and personal/social development.
• Participate on the IEP team and conduct/oversee evaluations as appropriate.
• Coordinate and monitor student interventions and behavior management.
• Serve as liaison with staff, parents and outside resources.
• Document counseling activities and track student progress.
