Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an Academic Support Specialist at Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio. This role focuses on student engagement, achievement, and a strong counseling program to support at-risk students and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Guidance & Counseling with School Counseling Endorsement on a valid Ohio Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree with Valid Teaching Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students at-risk for retention and develop academic plans with student and parent/guardian.
• Plan and promote programs that enhance academic, social, or emotional growth (e.g., counseling initiatives, student enrichment).
• Support RTI/MTSS processes and coordinate with teachers, parents, and administrators to improve outcomes.
• Assist with diploma lists, honor distinctions, and high school/post-secondary planning.
