Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Euclid Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio to support students with IEP goals. The role emphasizes rigorous, nurturing instruction and SEL integration within a K-8 setting.

You will collaborate with teachers to tailor interventions, conduct assessments, lead IEP meetings, and implement behavior plans, while engaging families and planning events. Growth‑oriented coaching and multicultural collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room.
• Comfort with growth‑focused coaching based on frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in a multi‑cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students with focus on IEPs.
• Work with teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities and adapt instruction.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Strive to meet student achievement and school culture goals.
• Use research-based planning and instruction; incorporate culturally responsive teaching.
• Serve as advisor for a group of students and communicate with families.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
