Job summary

Foundation Academy is seeking an Intervention Specialist in Mansfield, Ohio to support students with IEP goals and social-emotional development. You will collaborate with teachers to adjust instruction, conduct assessments, and implement behavior plans while fostering inclusive practices and family communication.

The role emphasizes coaching, data-driven planning, and culturally responsive teaching within ACCEL Schools’ network, with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities, modify curricula, and assist students with assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals.
• Support goals related to student achievement and school culture.
• Employ research-based planning and culturally responsive daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor to a group of students and communicate progress with families.
• Assist with planning non-instructional activities and other duties as assigned.
