Job summary

The teacher will collaborate with students, parents and colleagues to design engaging instruction, monitor student progress, and maintain compliant records while promoting a positive classroom culture. The position involves various duties to support student success and district standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in position related area is required.
• Must Hold or be Eligible to hold a North Carolina Teacher Licensure

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with students, parents, colleagues and other stakeholders to build leadership, positive relationships and high expectations for student learning.
• Designs instruction through lesson plans and individualized instruction to engage all students in learning objectives.
• Guides student learning by setting goals, strategies and recognition aligned with state and district standards.
• Evaluates student and class performance by analyzing assessments and data to adjust instruction.
• Implements current best practices and resources to improve student learning and align with standards.
• Maintains documentation and reports on student data and teaching credentials for compliance.
• Manages classroom structure, behavior, and learning environment to support student goals.
• Models professional behavior, ethical conduct and respect for diversity.
• Oversees assistant teachers and volunteers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in meetings to share information and support professional growth.
• Responds to emergencies following safety protocols and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
