Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in position related area is required.
• Must Hold or be Eligible to hold a North Carolina Teacher Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders (students, parents, colleagues) to establish leadership and positive relationships focused on student learning.
• Designs instruction (lesson plans; individualized instruction; diverse learning styles/needs) to engage all students.
• Develops and guides learning with students toward goals and standards.
• Evaluates student and class performance and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Implements best practice instruction aligned with state and district standards.
• Maintains documentation and required reports related to teaching certification and student data.
• Manages classroom structure and procedures to create a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Models professional behavior and promotes respectful interpersonal conduct.
• Oversees assistants and student workers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in team/building meetings and parent/teacher conferences.
• Responds to emergencies and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
